things you can just do: switch to elastic shoelaces

If your shoes have laces, a thing you can do is to buy elastic shoelaces to replace them. The main, practical, reason for doing this is that you can slip your shoes on and off instead of tying them. This is a pretty inconsequential life hack that might save you a few seconds each day. Still, in my case, those are often a somewhat embarrassing few seconds during which somebody is waiting for me to tie my shoes so we can head out somewhere, so that makes it kind of worth it for me.

A secondary benefit is that, if you get shoelaces in an obnoxious cool color, you'll have an easier time finding your shoes after a shoes-off party or similar.

That's about it.

these are Allbirds sneakers because I'm a miserably basic techbro, with Bread shoelaces because Wirecutter said so, shrug. I made no effort to compare any other brands or options and would recommending doing your own research
